The core of the Striders team are our outstanding coaches, who are determined to help you succeed. Between the 5 of them, they have run over 40 ultramarathons and countless marathons and half-marathons! They bring valuable experience and a strong focus on fundamentals to the program. Speed Coaches
The speed coaches provide inputs and training to help experienced runners/walkers to improve their speed, efficiency and endurance. Mentors
Mentors are experienced Striders who volunteer to lead the weekday workouts. They are passionate about training and care deeply about the impact that the program generates.
Organizers
They're the glue that holds the entire program together. They deeply care about your experience in the program and are available to answer your questions listen to your feedback to make the program better.
Cohort
Members of your local weekday workout group who train with you and support you to cross that half marathon finish line.
The Striders training program is organized by the Bay Area chapter of Vibha, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization. Vibha's vision is to ensure that every underprivileged child attains their right to health, education and opportunity. Vibha educates, enables and empowers individuals who wish to make a positive impact on the lives of underprivileged children. Since its inception in 1991, Vibha has supported more than 250 projects in India and 10 projects in the US. As a result, it has been able to reach out to and provide opportunities for over 2.3 million underprivileged children. Currently, Vibha supports 30 projects in India and 7 projects in the US. As a majority volunteer run organization, Vibha is able to direct 95+% of all donations towards their cause.
